The following is on FOX Sports today. As expected the author takes the usual cheap shot at the Royals stating that their misery is based on David Glass being cheap. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/8098378/Top-10:-Worst-franchises-in-pro-sports?MSNHPHCP>1=39002
Is it just me, or is this getting to be a tired argument. Glass seems to have been setting a good foundation to build on a team. The GM has been a great hire. Baseball pundits have also lauded the hiring of the manager. To top that off, the pitching staff is more than respectable this year. So what is it going to take for the Royals to get off this list short of winning a WS?

I don't have a problem with the author putting KCR on the list. Yes it looks like good things may be coming but the recent past has been horrible. I do have a problem with his putting The Twins on there. The Twins has been a very competitive team over the past 5+ years including some division titles and WC berths. You can call them cheap, but they have evaluated and drafted talent wisely.
Lists suck in general, I think they are a copout for a writer who either has nothing else to talk about or is not talented enough to write an acutal column.
Regarding the Royals, I think we all can agree (?) the organization turned the corner with the hiring of Dayton Moore, followed by Moore's hiring of Trey Hillman. With Bulter, Gordon, Soria, Tehan, Bannister and Grienke as building blocks I cannot forsee the Royals being on this same list five years from now.
I guess I dont mind that the Royals are on this list; but the comments seem a little stupid. Baseball is definietely the hardest sport to turn around a losing team if that means anything.
