I didnt surprise me but I didnt expect it either. When I started to think about it after the first mentioning of "the child" and how often Aaron was featured in the episode I thought something was a little funny.
It didnt even occur to me even after I heard his name. Nan had to fill me in. So now the theories on Aaron. Does Claire die on the island or maybe on the resuce attempt? Does Kate steal Aaron? Does Claire give Kate Aaron in an attempt to help her look like a good person when she gets back to the states to avoid punishment for her prior problems? Or could they be misleading us and she really gets pregnant by Sawyer and just names the child Aaron? What about the season finale in season 3 when Jack and Kate are talking by the runway? Kate said she had to go b\c "he is waiting for me at home". I think we all assummed it was a b\f or husband, but I would assume now it meant Aaron.
When Jack was on the stand he said there were only eight survivors? Obviously he was lying but the 'public' in the fast forward must believe that there are only eight survivors of 815; Jack, Kate, Syaid, Hurley, Aaron.....and????
