Greg Paulus Flops like a Champion

I saw this last night and almost fell out of my chair when it happened. Paulus taking a Lambier-like flop is classic. I have also attached another classic Paulus flop from last year. Looks like GP is continuing the line of Dooke soofties that look for cheap fouls (Redick, Laetner etc) I must credit deadspin as a source for this post.

Do you mean soft Duke players like Carlos Boozer or Elton Brand? I mean if you really wanted to make a point, why not choose a wider span of time of players to choose from than the small TWENTY YEARS for your examples. That only amounts to 92 different players that have worn the Duke jersey.

While, I get the fact that non Duke fans, or haters in this case, don't really enjoy watching Duke take control of a game as they did last night in a hostile environment and subject to cheapshots, like the one Paulus took from Reid; I don't understand the Bill Laimbier reference. He was one of the toughest players in the NBA. He went out every night, did his job, took no credit and won championships. I think theres a reason why he's a successful coach.

Reddick a softie, maybe. I would have gone with Eric Meek or Shavlik Randolph. I guess getting bloodied on a nightly basis will give that perception.
Laetner wasn't soft either. He was arrogant and a bit of a cheap shot sometimes (Patrick Farmer), but I'm not sure he was soft. Maybe in terms of NBA players he was soft, but I don't see Paulus at that level.

Chris, you forgot to credit deadspin in your previous post also.

Bill Laimbier is a successful coach......in the WNBA????

Florida St. is the University of Missouri-Columbia of the ACC, which means they are average at best, so I would expect a top 5 team to 'take control' in their building.

Wow, Duke is a top 5 team? Thanks! I would say that they are more of a Top 15 team.

Yes Bill Laimbeir is a successful coach, thats why they win championships.

Calling it the University of Missouri-Columbia puts you a lot closer to that institution as you make a University of Missouri-Kansas City degree so go ahead and root for your Tigers.

Florida State playes in a conference with teams that win National Championships, where every venue is tough to play in, so don't minimize a road win in the toughest conference in college basketball.

You mean as tough as Mark Randall's inside game, or as soft as Raef LaFrentz in the tournament? What kind of soft do you mean?

Soft like Adonis Jordan?

Do you mean soft like Collins cannot make an easy toss at the line in the championship game against 6 freshman?

Define soft?

Can we get some polls similar to the golf poll? Why isn't there a poll for the MU-KU Game? What about NFL playoffs poll?

Nate WEDway Radio said...

Sure, but you can make the poll yourself.

timrip said...

Can you explain to me how?

cstephens said...

Rip,
This should help you with creating a poll.

Chris, how did you embed the YouTube clip? I cannot seem to figure that out either.

Type - I meant Collison, not Collins.
