Not sure how many Catholics we have among the group, but this recent issue between Rick Majerus and Archbishop Burke has gotten a lot of play in the media over the last couple days.
Personally I'd like to see Burke take his "act" elsewhere. He's really rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, and could personally be responsible for driving many local Catholics away from the religion.

What?? Catholics leaving the religion over the Archbishop of St. Louis' opinions? I could see if they maybe disagreed with the Pope, but the Archbishop of St. Louis.
Personally I've never heard of him, but I'm also not Catholic either.
I agree with you Sed. I am not Catholic but why does the Archbishop feel the need to comment on what Majerus said? The SLU officals said it best in that Majerus has the right to express his personal opinions when not representing the university.
The mere fact that a religous leader's actions\words would lead followers away is sad. And a big problem. Since I have lived in STL the only news I hear about the catholic church is bad news. One thing my local protestant non-denomonational church tries to do is be inclussive of people, their beliefs, bad habits and actions. It doesn't mean we agree or approve of such actions, just not judge them. It's a problem the church has had for centuries.
